Understand what a pedigree records, which parent screening results we state and what accompanies our British Shorthair kittens at departure.
What does a pedigree tell you?
A pedigree records a cat’s ancestry. It does not promise a particular personality or lifelong health. Our cat profiles show registered names, EMS codes and birth dates; Berry and Fate also have selected ancestors listed.
Parent screening information
For our parents we state unremarkable HCM heart ultrasound results, PKD, PRA and ALPS N/N, and FIV negative. We discuss the available reports and their meaning personally. Ask a veterinary practice about medical questions; screening does not replace ongoing care.
What has the kitten received before departure?
Departure includes a veterinary examination, two vaccinations, repeated deworming, a microchip and vaccination record. Discuss an individual preventive care plan with your veterinary practice. We agree the actual departure date personally; kittens leave no earlier than twelve weeks.
Contract, neutering and pedigree handover
Our kittens are placed exclusively as companions with a protective agreement and neutering agreement. Every kitten has a pedigree, handed over or sent after proof of neutering. Understand these arrangements and ask questions before reserving.
What information should you take home?
Clarify which documents you receive and when, familiar food and routines, and whom to contact with questions. Record agreements about reservation, departure and transport. Our breeding page and your personal conversation complement each other.
